01 / Product flow
Altace assembles the useful signal from screen, audio, queued frames, and recent interaction, then returns a response through Telegram.
Trigger Altace from any application to capture screen, audio, or queued visual context.
Altace assembles the relevant context with your recent interaction history.
Altace generates the response and delivers it through Telegram.
02 / Rolling audio
Altace holds recent desktop audio in a configurable rolling buffer. Trigger it after a moment has passed to include that audio with your request.
The buffer supplies recent audio only when you decide to ask; it is not presented as a searchable conversation archive.
“What did they say about the deadline?”
Asked after the sentence ended
03 / Capabilities
Every capability exists to shorten the distance between noticing something and getting an answer about it.

What’s causing the timeout in the trace I just captured?
The retry starts before the previous request releases its socket. The overlap grows across attempts. Move cleanup into `finally`, then apply backoff after the socket closes.
@altace_bot turn that into a concise fix for the incident thread.
Fix: close each request socket before scheduling its retry. This removes overlapping connections; exponential backoff then controls subsequent attempts.
